Dr. Accola surgeon called last Monday, I thought he was going to give me a date and type surgery, but he said he had sent my films to Dr. Martin in Gainesville at UF Shands Hospital. He is an expert in Connective tissue disease relating to Valves.
Dr. Accola wanted his opinion and will get back to me Monday the 11th around noon. I’m happy to have Dr. Martin reviewing!
Good news, they let me cancel the ICD insert scheduled for Monday. With Surgery coming the Transplant Dr. said he didn’t think I needed to get it since, if the surgery is successful, my Ejection Fraction could go up. Dr. Accola and Kolli agreed.
That’s all for now- Dr. Accola said something about “I’m talking about one or two weeks” and I said” I am not ready that fast with my support system” He said” let’s wait till Monday then we will talk about a date”.
I will keep you posted. I am still feeling pretty darn good, other than being scared of the giant surgery ahead!!
